Long ago, the original Son Gohan (Goku's adopted grandfather) found Goku all alone, and he thought it was rather strange considering he lived out in the middle of nowhere. And even stranger, he had a furry tail, like a monkey. For a while, Goku was uncontrollable, until one day when he and Son Gohan were out for a walk, Goku fell into a ravine. A normal child would have died, but he recovered and was a very loving child from there on out. He trained with his adopted grandfather until one night Goku fell asleep and woke up to find that Son Gohan had been squashed flat, supposedly by a huge ape. He lived on his own until Bulma found him. (He was twelve years old then, and I believe Bulma was fourteen.) At the moment, Goku had one of the Dragonballs that she was looking for. Her wish was to have the perfect boyfriend. (Gee, I don't think that ever came true...) Then he met others, such as Yamucha, Oolong, Yajirobe, Puar... The list goes on and on. He trained with the great Kame Senin (Master Roshi, for all you dub fans) along with Kuririn. In fact, during this training, Goku learned the Kamehameha in minutes, while it took Kame Senin fifty years!
So time passes, and Goku beats up a bunch of people, Kuririn dies once, the Dragon brings him back, Goku gets married to Chichi, the daughter of the Ox-King, and they have a child, named after Goku's adopted grandfather, Son Gohan. He also gets rid of that creepy tail of his.
And somewhere in between, Kami, God of the Earth, divides himself so that he can be pure good, and it backfires. There's one evil side roming around named "Piccolo Daimo". Goku blasts him through the stomach, and the big green guy coughs up an egg. (Yuck.) It hatches, and here comes the Piccolo the Zenkai fans just love. He wants revenge for the death of his father, and he'll do anything to kill off Goku. But Goku defeats him at one point, leaving Piccolo even more angry, and he trains and trains... Not doing much of anything else to him until DBZ starts up.
Which is now.
More time, and someone comes to Earth with a very
disturbing message... He is not from Earth. No, not at all.
He's from the planet Vegeta, he's a full-blooded Saiya-jin, and his real
name is Kakarotto. And this messenger is none other than Radditz,
Goku... er, Kakarotto's biological brother and Gohan's uncle! <<gasp!>>
Of course, he's too stubborn to believe it at first, but he eventually
accepts it. Radditz kidnaps Gohan, and Goku joins forces with his
old nemesis Piccolo. <<gasp!>> Gohan goes crazy and bashes
his uncle in the chest, rendering him helpless for a while, then Goku grabs
Radditz's tail, then Piccolo rams 'em through with a Masenko beam (Special
Beam Cannon, for the dubbers). <<gasp... if I do that
again, I'll pass out...>> Goku trains with King Kaio, who is pretty
much the trainer of the dead for this side of the universe, and he learns
the Kaio-Ken Attack, along with the Genki Dama (Spirit Bomb, and if you
dubbies say SB sounds cooler than GD, I'm gonna strangle ya!). He's
wished back, and two more Saiya-jins come to destroy the planet:
Nappa and Vegeta. He defeats both of them, but not without the help
of his friends and family, Tien, Gohan, Chao-tzu, Yajirobe (whom I personally
hate), Kuririn, and Yamcha, and two of his once greatest enemies, Vegeta
and Piccolo. He doesn't kill either one of the Saiya-jins.
Instead, Vegeta kills Nappa because of his failure to defeat Kakarotto,
and Goku stupidly sets Vegeta free. <<One big mistake after
another... But I forgive him for that one, 'cuz Vegeta's my favorite
character.>> Then came the search for the Namekian Dragonballs, where
Goku healed from his last fight, defeated two of the Ginyu Force members,
Recoome and Captain Ginyu (not without help from Vegeta, Kuririn, Gohan,
and a Namekian Frog!), and fought against Furiza. When his best friend,
Kuririn, was destroyed by Furiza, he got really, really, and shall I say
REALLY mad at him and went Super Saiya-jin Level 1. He defeated Furiza
(yet again, couldn't have done it without the help of all his buddies),
and when Namek blew up (courtesy of Furiza), he escaped in one of the Ginyu
Force's space pods and flew to an unknown planet where he learned to go
SSJ without getting overwhelmed with emotion first along with the art of
instantaneous movement. He was unbelievably strong, but still there
were more fighters to come.
And just when you think it's all over, Goku still
hasn't come back, but Furiza has! Half-robot and ready to destroy
anything in sight, he wants to get his revenge by
